Im sure some of you have seen this but, I thought I would share. This shows how hard it is for people with mental illness to keep relationships. I hope he finds someone who will love him and support him and I applaud him for showing his heart to the world

I started to develop OCD right before I graduated HS. It's a tricky insidious mental condition alright, but with the right therapy, it can be squashed. In my case, I'd like to think it appeared from measuring twice and cutting once, one too many times. It's just the human race experiencing growing pains, and dealing with a world that's speeding up by our own hands...

I have OCD but I have the version where you have racing thoughts 24/7 it is one of the main reasons for my insomnia. Luckily, I am marrying a wonderful man who has similar issues so he understands me XD

Hmm, I do a lot of thinking... sometimes it keeps me up at night, while in bed. I always write it off as segueing into lucid dreaming, but in the daytime... idk. Maybe I beat the number(s) game, but not all of it?

well I explain it this way...my mind is this carosel of thoughts and it just keeps spinning on high speed. people also point out that when I have a conversation I change the subject at random. my fiance jokes and says I have crazy segways XD

I've got an older friend who's like that - always skipping to new subjects, but I'm used to it. It's just an abbreviated form of communication... sometimes the human part of the conversation, matters more than the written/obvious context. Guess there's a fine line between eclectic and plain weird.

if you think about it. all brilliant people are a bit odd and eccentric :)

Hmm, but the world likes boring and ambitious types, over the truly gifted... an anti-hero world :\ The dog-eat-dog world doesn't play nice, or afford liberties to creative folk.. it's more of a legal/marketing bent...
