health problems and lack of motivation

Posted by Clueless-queen - July 21st, 2014

I have a drawing in the works but I find health issues are holding me back. Im a dishwasher/kitchen hand. I work 5 days a week and usually 10 hours a day with little to no breaks...so by the time I get to my days off...im exausted and cant focus much on anything....but its a living....I would love to be able to somehow make my art a lucrative business but like I said hard to focus...Im also starting to get arthritis in my joints and lower back problems....with that said, Im off to go make dinner and take a nap. Maybe tomorrow I will try to do a little more on mu drawing...I kinda feel like im letting some of you guys down :(

Aww, no you're not! Sounds like your hands are getting more of a workout than art will allow. Maybe on a day off, you can do some simple line art, but really, you should take care of yourself, best you can.

Did you see Sex Tape yet? Read it kinda bombed, as far as how many ppl watched it so far....

nah...Im waiting for the ninja turtles to come out. last movie I went out to see was the new x-men...it was pretty awesome

Sometimes I wished they had a bar you could rest a foot on while at the sink, kinda like the bar under the bar, so if you couldn't sit down, you could at least put a leg up... I didn't work in the kitchen exclusively though, that made all the difference :)

Just wish you had a better job, are you still looking? You should. Lord knows I should've as well... you just get so tired at the end of the day, and feel like you did something, that you forget that you're capable of doing so much more.
